She pressed her palm against the ground, whispering the override code only she knew.

The neon around her flickered—for just a second, the entire system glitched.

And in that second, she vanished.

Ravi saw her walking towards her.   The moon light draped her like a beautiful muslin gown as she walked slowly towards him. The moonlit night has turned the entire locality into a dreamy sequence. The love of his life is walking towards him. He jumped out of his seat and ran towards her. It is only a few meters now and they shall meet forever. But, suddenly Ravi saw another gleaming object in the bushes adjacent to her. To his horror, Ravi realized that the shining object is a large dagger. A man, wearing a dark mask over his face, jumped out of the bushes clutching the shining dagger in his hand.
