Keira had minutes. The Runners were closing in—silent figures moving in sync, their neural implants flashing red.

She sprinted through the dark alleys, hiding in neon reflections, until she reached a rusted elevator door.

The coordinates led here?

A mechanical whir. The door slid open on its own. Inside, a figure waited, face hidden beneath a flickering hologram.

"You don’t have a choice, Keira."

Ravi saw her walking towards her.   The moon light draped her like a beautiful muslin gown as she walked slowly towards him. The moonlit night has turned the entire locality into a dreamy sequence. The love of his life is walking towards him. He jumped out of his seat and ran towards her. It is only a few meters now and they shall meet forever. But, suddenly Ravi saw another gleaming object in the bushes adjacent to her. To his horror, Ravi realized that the shining object is a large dagger. A man, wearing a dark mask over his face, jumped out of the bushes clutching the shining dagger in his hand.
