“Oh, the rains again, damn it.” Bimal Mahato spat his anger at the unnecessary botheration that he was anticipating, thanks to the muddy roads and the humid weather in his village.
He stood silently on the banks of the small river that passed through his village. It’s almost dry in the summers, but the monsoon brings out an entirely different, tumultuous form of the stream that swells enormously to threaten the existence of the very locality that sustains around it.

There she comes. The girl he met on the banks of this river a year ago. The love of his life.
